4. Health information

Information about your health, including pregnancy, is special category data under data protection law.

If you share health information with us, we use it only to respond to you and, where you report feeling unwell or a problem with a product, to investigate the product's quality and safety. We rely on your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to send it to us, and where necessary on the need to establish or defend legal claims. We never use health information for marketing or advertising, and we never share it with advertising partners.

5. Who we share your information with

We share your information only where we need to, with:

  • Shopify, which runs our online store and processes payments.
  • Royal Mail and other delivery companies, to deliver your order.
  • Email or SMS marketing provider to send our emails and texts.
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for website analytics and advertising, only if you have accepted the relevant cookies.
  • Our accountants and professional advisers, where needed for accounting, legal or insurance purposes.
  • Authorities or regulators, where the law requires it, for example Trading Standards or the Food Standards Agency in connection with product safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, Google and Meta, store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States and Canada. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as the UK government's adequacy decisions, the UK-US data bridge, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

7. How long we keep your information

  • Orders and financial records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, because the law requires it.
  • Customer service messages: 2 years after your last contact, unless they relate to a complaint or product concern.
  • Product quality and safety reports: 10 years, so we can look into any product safety concern properly and trace it back to the batch involved.
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list, so we do not contact you again.
  • Website analytics: in line with our cookie settings, and for no longer than 14 months.
